My best friend, my caretaker, my go to person and the one with whom I feel at home – MY MOM!

So as Mother’s day is today I want to tell you all about my Mom! Everyone’s mom is the best right? Off course! But I want to tell you in 10 ways why I love my Mom and think that my Mom is just the best ever!

1. Her food

Ok so as I am living alone now and need to make my own food, I appreciate my Mother’s so much more. I can’t wait to get home and feast! Sundays we usually eat together as a family and that is the day that I love the most. Yes, off course I can make my own pasta but the craving for my mother´s food is just too big! When I walk into the home to the smell of good food, my heart is happy!

2. Shopping

Going shopping with my Mom is the best. As a 50 year old, she dresses very hip and young and sometimes we share all our clothes, which is so much fun. She inspires me to try something new and vice versa.

3. Her Love for God

As we grew up praising God, we sometimes got a little too busy with our own life’s to make time for God. My mother’s love for God remind me everyday why we are here and what our purpose is. Just by reading me a verse, teaching children in church or just by the way she lives, is an example for me everyday.

4. The joy of having a phone

So as I am not living at home anymore, I don’t get to see my Mother that often. A phone call or just a sms that says ‘I love you’ and ‘I miss you’ can brighten up my day and believe me my Mom does that often.

5. Receiving lots of gifts

My mom is famous for giving gifts the whole time. She surprises me many times with my favorite sweets, clothing or just a chocolate. This keeps me smiling so much.

6. Her love for her family

The most important thing in my Mother’s life is her family. She would leave everything to go and help them or even give up something that she feels they need more. For them she will always do her best.

7. Her beauty

So as my Mom hit the big 50 last year, YES! I said 50; she looks even more beautiful than ever. She takes care of her body and of herself and that can be reflected through her beauty. When she smiles, the whole room just lightens up. I hope I get to look that good when I am 50!

8. Hugs and Kisses

Xoxo Mommy! We greet one another with a kiss and a hug every time we see each other. Just the feeling of her arms around me, when I am not feeling good, is the thing that keeps me going.

9. She is Unique

Off course she is unique; there is only 1 of her! But oh how glad I am that she is my Mother!

10. We are 1

As I grow older and get to experience life, I have realized that my mom and I are 1 and the same and I would never ever dream to change that.

What is a home without a Mother? This is what I live by. Wherever I go, I will always take a piece of my mom with. My mom is the only one that understands what I do and say; only she can understand my tears, my disappointments and my joys. So on this day I will shower my Mom will love, not just gifts, I will be gentle, kind, helpful and good.
